ABOUT CLUBVIEW SCHOOL
Principal's Welcome
I would like to welcome you and your child to Clubview Elementary School, An IB World School and a Georgia Charter School. I am honored to be a part of Clubview with its rich tradition of excellence in educating our students. We are proud of our many accomplishments, especially of having been authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) in February, 2006, followed by the State Department of Education awarding Clubview charter status in September, 2006. It is hoped that each student and parent also share in that pride.
We believe the IB’s internationally minded program will help prepare each student for the complex challenges of today’s society. Students are encouraged to be active learners, and well-rounded, engaged citizens. In addition to academic development, the Primary Years Programme (PYP) focuses on developing the whole child, including each individual’s social, physical, emotional, and cultural needs. The faculty and staff have extremely high expectations of each other, and the students and parents of Clubview Elementary. I pledge to model these expectations in my efforts as I lead our school through this school year.
I hope to get to know each of you personally, and it is my desire for you and your child to have the best possible educational experience at our school. This handbook outlines the guidelines we have employed over the years to achieve the standard of excellence we enjoy. We hope that it answers some of the many questions you may have as your child goes through this school year and continues as a Clubview Elementary IB student. Have a great year!
Lorrie Watt, Principal
Sincerely,

Our business partner, Columbus Regional Healthcare Systems, has been highly supportive of Clubview through their sponsorship of the Amazing Ambassador Breakfast, the Manners Club, Wonderful Wednesdays, and a multitude of other activities which support the overall program. In turn, Clubview students support the efforts of Columbus Regional to raise healthy children by participating in Country's Reindeer Run, and the lighting of the Tree of Lights to benefit the Children's Miracle Network.
